CORONA VIRUS
The two directors of AIRS Asbestos Removal (2014) Ltd have in excess of 64 years’ experience in the asbestos removal industry. Asbestos removal is extremely highly regulated – contractors must be licensed to undertake such work under the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) per missioning industries regime. These works require very detailed fine cleaning and decontamination of premises followed by Four Stage Clearance Testing by independent analysts part of which is a disturbed air test which must confirm less than 0.01 asbestos fibre per millilitre of air.
Since the beginning of February 2020, AIRS has been constantly reviewing news updates on the COVID - 19 pandemic and looking at ways in which we could assist our clients in these uncertain times. Due to our many years’ experience in decontamination processes and use of advanced respiratory protective equipment, it seemed a natural progression for AIRS to put together a team of handpicked, highly trained operatives from our asbestos removal division to undertake COVID – 19 disinfection works in properties.
AIRS has acquired some of the most advanced electrostatic fogging machines on the market, the ESS Model SC-EB Air Assisted electrostatic sprayer, and use NHS approved disinfectant products. AIRS is now insured, trained and equipped and is now assisting existing and new clients to open and operate during the current pandemic ensuring the health and safety of their customers and staff.
Electrostatically sprayed disinfectants may leave a slight residue on surfaces. Depending on the disinfectant product used, fogged areas/surfaces may be used within minutes and can be effective for up to 14 days. The frequency of re-fogging depends very much on a business-by-business and building-by-building basis.
The fogging process is complimentary to the day to day cleaning of all surfaces including high touch areas such as handles, light switch, chairs, phones, etc.
Please see the attached video showing our fogging operatives/machines on site.
